Quran’s Good News about Righteous Ruling World
Tens of verses in the Quran point to the issue of advent of a savior. The focus of most of these verses is about giving the good news to the righteous and oppressed about regaining their rights and the creation of a world government based on the truth and justice and the dominance of Islam over other religions and schools.
The Quran says this glad tiding has been mentioned in other divine books, too: “We have written in the Psalms, after the Remembrance: ‘The righteous among My worshipers shall inherit the earth.’”(Verse 105 of Surah Al-Anbiya)
It also attributes this glad tiding to the will of God: “And We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and to make them the Imams, and to make them the heirs.” (Verse 5 of Surah Al-Qasas)
In another verse, the righteous and believers inheriting the earth is mentioned as a divine promise to the believers: “God has promised the righteously striving believers to appoint them as His deputies on earth, as He had appointed those who lived before.” (Verse 55 of Surah An-Nur)
In addition to the verses that talk about the advent of the savior, there are nearly 100 Hadiths narrated by 20 of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) companions which are mentioned in many famous Sunni Hadith sources.
Muslim and Bukhari have both narrated a Hadith based on which the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and your imam is among you.”
Also, Muslim Neyshaburi has quoted Jabir as saying that he heard the Holy Prophet (PBUH) say: ““There will never cease to be a group within my Ummah who will be fighting upon the Truth, victorious till the Day of al-Qiyamah. Then, ‘Isa b. Maryam (AS), will descend, and their amir will say, ‘Come and lead us in salat.’ But, he (‘Isa) will reply, ‘No. Verily, some of you are the amirs of the others. This is the honour of Allah to this Ummah.’”
Sheikh Mansour Ali Nasif writes in the book Al-Taaj: “Among all the scholars of today and the past it is known that ultimately a man from among the Ahl-ul-Bayt of the Holy prophet (PBUH) will appear who will dominate all Muslim lands and Muslims will follow him. He will uphold justice among them and boost the religion.”

So it should be said that all Islamic denominations and schools of thought believe that a man from the descendants of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will lead a global uprising at the end of time to establish justice all over the world.
It is inferred from verses of the Quran and Hadiths that in accordance with divine wisdom and mercy, divine leaders throughout history have always given people glad tidings and warnings and there has always been a guide on the earth. So the savior who holds the status of guiding people will one day reappear.
