The top general made the remark in an address to an international conference on New World Order Geometry, which was launched here in the Iranian capital on Wednesday.

He said drawing new strategic rules in relations between countries based on balance of power and common interests is the foundation of a transformation of the world order from a unipolar to a multipolar system.

In that multipolar system, cooperation will replace unilateralism in the world, he stated.

General Ibrahim added that the victory of Syria in the war against terrorist groups with the help of Iran and Syria is a sign of this great development.

So is the situation in Ukraine for all its complexities and the interference of NATO, he argued.

He also said that the cooperation and synergy between Iran and Syria, as the inheritors of two great civilizations, in confrontation with the US’ bullying and with the Zionist regime play a major role in the change in the situation of the region and the world.

Elsewhere in his remarks, General Ibrahim expressed hope that the future of the region will be formed based on the will and rights of the nations and their power.

Hosted by the University of National Defense, the two-day conference on New World Order Geometry discusses issues related to the formation of a new world order.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri were among other speakers at the opening ceremony of the conference.

A total 182 scholars, experts and thinkers from 36 countries, including China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Oman, Syria and Iraq are taking part in the conference.
