TEHRAN (IQNA) – An advanced Quranic course organized for visually-impaired women concluded in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq.

The women section of the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine held the course in cooperation with the Kuwait-based Habib Ibn Mazahir al-Assadi Center.

A total of 23 visually-impaired women from different governorates of Iraq who are memorizers of the Quran took the course, according to Sayed Amir Kassar, the head of the Dar-ol-Quran.

He said the lessons offered in the course were aimed at enhancing the Quranic skills and capabilities of the women, especially in the field of recitation.

At the closing ceremony, Bushra Sabagh, the head of the women section of the Dar-ol-Quran, said the course lasted for ten days and included a workshop, lessons on Quranic sciences, memorization methods, and rules of recitation, Sawt (melodious voice) and Lahn (rhythm).

Sayed Hassan Qanbar, head of the Habib Ibn Mazahir al-Assadi Center, appreciated the Dar-ol-Quran for hosting the course and said cooperation between the two sides will continue in Quranic, cultural and intellectual areas.
