TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Quran reciters who were among the Hajj pilgrims martyred in Mina will be commemorated in three national Quranic programs to be organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Organization.

Mohsen Hajihassani Kargar and Amin Bavi will be commemorated in the “National Forum for Commemoration of Quranic Figures”, the national stage of the 3rd edition of “Telavat” Quran Competition and the national stage of the 3rd edition of Tasnim Quran Competition.

The organization is a member of a committee formed to commemorate the martyred Iranian Quranic figures.

Other members of the committee will also organize special programs named after the martyrs.

A number of internationally-known Quranic figures such as Ahmed Ahmed Noaina and Muhammad Taha Abdul Wahab from Egypt and Adnan al-Salehi and Yahya al-Sahaf from Iraq have sent messages of condolences over the deaths of the two prominent Iranian Qaris.

The two members of the Iranian Quranic delegation to Hajj were among at least 228 Iranians who lost their life in a crush in Mina, near Makkah, on Thursday.

It is estimated that over 2000 Hajj pilgrims from different countries died in the incident.

Iran sends a delegation of Quranic figures to Hajj every year to hold Quranic programs such as recitation sessions during the annual pilgrimage.
