Kadhimiya Holy Shrines on Martydom Anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – People from inside and outside Iraq gather in the holy shrines in Kadhimiya on last day of Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah
to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS), ninth Shia Imam.
Kadhimiya is a northern neighborhood of the city of Baghdad, Iraq. It is home to the holy shrines of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and Imam Jawad (AS).
Imam Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa (also known as Imam Jawad and Imam Muhammad Taqi) is the ninth of the Twelve Imams and a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
