Int’l Conf. on Sufism Held in Kyrgyzstan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The first edition of the International Conference on Philosophical and Literary Heritage of Sufism was held in Bishkek with the Cooperation of Iran and Kyrgyzstan.

 

The event was staged on Tuesday in a hybrid form and was organized by Iran’s cultural office in Bishkek and the International University of Kyrgyzstan with the cooperation of Al-Mustafa International University.

According to a statement by the Iranian cultural office, some 25 articles were presented during the eight-hour-long conference that started at 11:00 AM local time.

President of Al-Mustafa International University Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Abbasi and president for Kyrgyzstan International University Asylbek Aidaraliev were among speakers at the opening session.

Abol Hassan Khalaj Monfared, President of the Center for Cultural Studies at Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and Parviz Ghasemi, Iran’s cultural attache in Bishkek were among other speakers.

Experts and researchers from Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan offered their articles in the event.
