Inauguration of Int’l Quran Expo to Be Broadcast Live on Quran TV

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The opening ceremony of the 26th Tehran International Quran Exhibition will be broadcast live.

 

According to Hojat-ol-Islam Seyd Hamid Hosseini, executive director of the expo, the ceremony will be held on Saturday evening.

He told IQNA that prominent Qari Hamid Reza Ahmadi Vafa will recite verses from the Quran at the function.

Iranian Culture Minister Seyed Abbas Salehi will be among the officials attending the ceremony, he added.

A recorded video message from grand source of emulation Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani will be played and an exquisite Mus’haf (copy) of the Quran will also be unveiled at the event, he went on to say.

According to the official, the public can visit the exhibition starting from Sunday.

The 26th edition of the international Quran exhibition will run at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) for two weeks.

The expo is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

The exhibition showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
