Leader Offers Condolences over Senior Cleric’s Passing Away
In a message on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed grief over the demise of Ayatollah Khosroshahi, "a pious scholar and Salek (A real God believer who devotes him/herself on the path of God)”.
The Leader noted that the late cleric was among the students of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA) and Quran interpreter Allameh Tabatabaei.
Ayatollah Khamenei offered condolences to the family of the deceased and his students and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Ayatollah Khosroshahi died on Friday at the age of 93.
Born in 1924 in Kermanshah, west of Iran, into a religious family, he was a scholar who spared no efforts in the struggle against the former Pahlavi regime that led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Imam Khomeini (RA) once described him as Sayyid al-Ulama (the master of Muslim scholars).
